There was a change at the FIBA Europe Cup leadership position after last games. Round 6 most important game was a defeat of league's leader ItalianReggio Emilia (4-2). They were defeated by second ranked Bosnian Bosna (5-1) 85-71 on Wednesday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Bosna made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Bosna outrebounded Reggio Emilia 44-33 including 29 on the defensive glass. 26 personal fouls committed by Reggio Emilia helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Edin Atic (201-1997) had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian forward Petar Kovacevic (203-2002) chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Colombian center Jaime Echenique (211-1997, college: Wichita St.) with 17 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Troy Caupain (193-1995, college: Cincinnati, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) scored 16 points. Five Bosna and four Reggio Emilia players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bosna have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Peristeri. Reggio Emilia at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with PAOK and Petkim. They were replaced at the leadership position by Peristeri.
